Moving from the Tactical marines to something a bit more sneaky...

This box was painted at a level 2 category like the tactical marines above.

Introducing the Scouts, vanguard for this Imperial fists army.

I didn't want to go Yellow for the armor as it made no sense what so ever. I ended up going black (hard color to toy with) and grey for the cloth. The cloak proved to be a challenge as I first painted it red (really didn't work) I decided to make the cloak look like the Terrain theme we are doing to help blend in the model. So this picture is the stage of painting over the yellow armor and red cloak.

I ended up airbrushing the models back to black and then dry brushed the model with bone color to pick out the highlights.

As you can see, Dirty crapy bleh... However it serves a purpose. I was going for an organic feel to the cloth, I believe I got the desired effect. The face needs some more work (not enough layers ;( and it looks chalky) However I'm happy with the effect.

On the field of battle, there can only be... YELLOW!
